![]() After having good experience with Acer, I bought Acer's Predator. I bought it for $1200, although Acer still sells it for $1400. Costco was offering a deal 2 years ago on it. Having said that, I had been using Acer Aspire v17 Nitro, 256GB SSD, 1TBG HHD, i7, 4K UHD display, 16 GB RAM and GeForce 980M 8 GB vRAM. I9 in a laptop? I believe no one offers it because Intel does not provide i9 for the laptops. I found an Alienware 17 R5 that has promising specs otherwise, but it is so hard to find a physical store where you can actually look at them. The best was a 17" Acer Helios in the store I visited. I also looked at an MSI GS65 and it had an even worse screen that was very flat and had a bit strange colors. It could not even display highlights properly (the 144Hz 1080p screen). They do not have to be amazing, but I looked at a few 15 inch laptops like the Razor 15 and the image quality was really bad. However I worry about the quality of their displays. I mostly looked at gaming laptops since they are powerful. I'm looking at getting a new laptop to use on our trips for working with Red files, mostly in Davinci.Ħ Core CPU. We can always hope, that at the same time they will improve the total laptop cooling designs. All the manufacturers was very fast to introduce models with it, but only a few of then improved the cooling.īut sometime in 2019 will we see new laptop Graphics Cards. Intel introduced the 6 cores mobile CPU's with higher performance generating more heat. But as I see the laptop market for 2018, was it not normal. ![]() ![]() For a couple of week ago did I read this test: 'The Intel Core i9-8950HK runs fastest on this laptop' I don't know anything about RED files expect that they require the most powerful CPU's possible. If you click on the brand and type number do you come to a very detailed review, with the advantages and disadvantages of that particular laptop.Īnd I personally don't like the Schenker/Clevos as they are more noisy that the rest. I like the work done by Notebookcheck and they have i page called The Best Notebook Displays. May be it will be an advantage if you tell us where you live? I like you idea that you want to see the display before you select which laptop you want. ![]()
